Production Operative

Overview

Brightwork has a great opportunity for Production Operatives to join a busy Fish Processing Factory in Lerwick, Shetland Islands. This is a 6‑month contract with consistent hours and the chance to experience island life while earning.

• Pay rate: £13.45 per hour (guaranteed 40 hours per week)
• Overtime: Paid after 40 hours is £20.18 per hour
• Contract length: 6 months
• Travel: Your flight or ferry to and from the island is fully paid
• Accommodation: Quality local accommodation available close to site

Your Time at Work

As a General Operative, your duties include:

• Operating processing machinery safely and efficiently
• Cleaning and preparing fish to the required standards
• Grading products to meet customer specifications
• Packing finished goods accurately
• Maintaining high product quality standards
• Following strict hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures
