Work Flexibility: Onsite Operations Associate
Responsibilities
- Provides manufacturing, product and process coordination support to the manufacturing line.
- Coordinates and evaluates production training and trains trainers.
- Ensures performance of an assigned team/work process, owning personal and team-based performance metrics.
- Works closely with Operations Supervisors to reduce downtime and optimise performance against the production plan.
- Ensures team performance meets KPIs on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
- Provides active coaching and feedback to operators.
- Manages production flow to optimise performance and ensures production schedule is followed.
- Leads Tier 1 Process; anticipates potential downtime and reduces production interruptions.
- Coordinates and prioritises production to meet customer requirements, maintain inventory levels and KPIs as per the production plan.
- Communicates and records output levels.
- Collaborates with NPI teams to ensure builds are prioritised and progressed through the line on schedule.
- Identifies and manages training priorities vs business needs monthly.
- Leads the formation of the training schedule and ensures versatility, station rotation and line staffing plans meet business needs.
- Supports line delivery of training and is responsible for approving, implementing and scheduling training for document changes.
- Leads production training for new hires and implements cross‑training plans for employees.
- Evaluates and signs off training.
- Collaborates with the Training Applications Analyst to maintain the SLMS training and ensure it is recorded in line with QMS.
- Reviews overtime needs with Operations Supervisor, coordinating list of team members to meet this needs.
- Ensures quality standards and expectations are communicated and deployed.
- Supports maintenance of production systems (rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits).
- Promotes current Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Processes and leads EHS/6S for the team, ensuring proactive health and safety, championing 6S process and objectives.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities, such as Lean/Cost Reduction initiatives.
- Participates in the resolution of NC & CAPAs as required, ensuring effective compliance with QMS.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Desirable – GCSE Grade A-C in Maths, English and Science.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
- System/Computer Requirements: Must be competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP.
- Key Competencies: Excellent communication skills to engage diverse teams; problem‑solving skills to anticipate and prevent downtime; ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities; capacity to operate in a fast‑paced environment; commitment to ownership and meeting deadlines/targets.
