Support Worker. Earn £13.45 per hour (£26,300 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan. Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw). West Cornforth, Durham. We can’t offer CoS for this role. What you’ll do
- Help customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, cleaning, supporting to appointments and maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation.
- Understand and follow risk assessments and support reviews.
- Complete detailed support plans and set personalised, achievable goals with customers. Support customers to work on their goals each week, helping to build confidence and achieve meaningful progress.
- Perform general office duties and paperwork, respond to safeguarding incidents, and ensure the service remains fully compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Use computer systems to manage documents online.
- Provide practical and emotional support only; no personal care required.
- No experience handling medications required as we are not a CQC service.
Qualifications
- Experience with mental health is preferred.

- Acknowledge that every customer is different and adapt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs.
- A valid driving licence and a business‑insured vehicle (mileage covered).

The practical bits
- Where we’re flexible with you, we may need to adapt your start or finish times on occasion to meet customer needs.
- Work 5 days a week over 7 days, following a 4‑week rolling rota.
- Shifts: 08:00‑16:00, 12:00‑20:00, 13:15‑21:15; some weekend work included.
- Use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and collaborate with colleagues.
- Enhanced DBS check required (paid by us).
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance.
