Maintenance Technician

To help deliver a resident site contract to our client, whilst maintaining the key values of the business.

Responsibilities

• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Diagnose Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and perform subsequent repairs.
• Prioritise system faults.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
• Ensure quality of output at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Participate in continuous improvement and sales opportunities.
• Maintain product flow at all times.
• Ensure on‑site spares are kept to optimum levels.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations.
• Adhere to the Quality processes and procedures set out by the company.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred).
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred).
• Working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
• Basic understanding of PLC equipment.
• Experience of working at height.
• Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems.
• PC literacy.
• Understanding of pre‑preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Technical competencies (or local equivalents) such as the ability to learn and retain technical information, read and understand technical drawings and instructions, logical fault‑finding and resolution skills, and the ability to operate within a designed structure of pre‑planned maintenance.
