Grounds Maintenance Apprentice

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: National minimum wage for apprentices

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance of parks, playing fields and other open spaces within the Ribble Valley.
• Grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves and litter, setting up sports equipment.
• Planting, pruning, seeding and upkeep of artificial synthetic sports pitches.

Qualifications

• Interested in the environment and enjoy working outdoors.
• Will work towards a Level 2 Horticulture Operative Standard qualification through Myerscough College.

Apprentice Rates

• First year: £8 per hour.
• Year 2 and beyond: 21+ years: £12.71 per hour; 18-20 years: £10.85 per hour; under 18: £8 per hour.
