Transport Service Coordinator

Location: Bristol, Avonmouth, BS11 0YB

Salary: £33,990.00 per annum with an annual performance bonus (15%) plus Veolia benefits and pension.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8:30am – 5pm).

What you’ll be doing

• Day‑to‑day management of service delivery, including dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers.
• Completing debriefs with front‑line staff and reporting necessary actions or updates as required.
• Face‑to‑face engagement with drivers, supporting them to address any issues on route.
• Reporting all safety concerns or container damage and encouraging ‘stop the job’ if it is deemed unsafe to continue.

What we’re looking for

• Essential: Understanding of transport compliance and WTD.
• Essential: Strong communication skills – communicating with people of all levels including drivers, front‑line employees and customers.
• Essential: Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace.
• Desirable: Previous experience operating within a similar industry (waste, transport, logistics).
