Maintenance Operative – Coventry

£16,298.88 per annum; part‑time, permanent; 24 hours per week on a fixed shift pattern (Monday–Wednesday, 9 am–5:30 pm); proposed start date: 03.08.26.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great student experience – respond to maintenance requests quickly, keep the site safe and ensure students feel at home.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs – tackle plumbing, electrics, carpentry and general fixes.
• Keep communal areas and rooms at their best – maintain shared spaces and student rooms.
• Prioritise health & safety – complete compliance checks, fire alarm and water system tests.
• Work as part of a team – collaborate with contractors, housekeepers and management.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities or a handyman role.
• Strong understanding of plumbing, electrics and general repairs.
• Customer‑focused mindset and friendly, can‑do attitude.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work flexibly as part of a team.
