Bunzl UK & Ireland supplies, through a number of specialist distribution businesses, a range of more than 100,000 products including food packaging, disposable supplies, catering equipment, healthcare consumables and cleaning and safety products to supermarkets, retailers, hotels, restaurants and caterers, construction companies, healthcare providers and other users.

As Bunzl’s talent partners, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and organised Data Entry Clerk to join their thriving Finance Shared Services Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing supplier and financial data, ensuring records are maintained to a high standard, supporting invoice processing and reconciliation activities, and helping to maintain the integrity of financial information across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter supplier and financial data into accounting systems, ensuring all information is complete and up to date.
  • Verify invoice details against purchase orders and supporting documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies where appropriate.
  • Ensure invoices are processed within agreed service level agreements and company payment schedules.
  • Support the resolution of invoice queries by working closely with Accounts Payable, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month‑end activities to ensure data is current and complete.
  • Follow internal controls and compliance procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Identify recurring issues, escalating where necessary and supporting continuous process improvements.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a data entry or administrative role.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using accounting, finance or ERP systems would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Good numerical skills and a logical, methodical approach to work.
