Job Overview

We are looking to appoint a passionate and committed Year 2 Teacher who shares our belief that every child can succeed. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or bring a wealth of experience, we are seeking someone who will inspire, motivate and make a lasting difference in the lives of our pupils.

As a Teacher at Oasis Academy Parkwood, you will inspire pupils through engaging and meaningful learning experiences, carefully planning to meet the needs of every child and drive strong progress. You will use assessment effectively to support development and celebrate achievement, while establishing a calm, safe and inclusive classroom where all learners can flourish. You will model and promote high expectations for behaviour through positive relationships and consistent practice, working collaboratively with colleagues to continually enhance teaching and learning. You will also build strong partnerships with families and the wider community through clear and respectful communication, uphold safeguarding as a central priority, and play an active role in academy life, embracing opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications and Character

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrates strong classroom practice and a passion for teaching
  • Has high expectations for all pupils’ learning, behaviour and achievement
  • Creates an engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Builds positive relationships based on trust, respect and care
  • Is reflective, resilient and committed to ongoing development
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to the team
