Lived Experience Co-Trainer — Online & Local Training

Responsibilities

• Co-deliver Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training
• Online sessions delivered from home
• Face‑to‑face sessions within around 1 hour of your home (optional)
• Share personal experiences in a safe, structured, and positive way
• Help health and social care staff understand good care and communication
• Work closely with another trainer to deliver engaging and inclusive sessions
• Support development of accessible and engaging training materials
• Act as a professional ambassador for people with learning disabilities

Requirements

• Has a learning disability and experiences they feel comfortable sharing
• Passionate about improving understanding and respect
• Confident speaking to groups or willing to build confidence
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
• Open to learning and personal development
• Ability to travel locally if choosing to deliver face‑to‑face sessions
