Location: Quarrington Depot (NG34 8NX)

Position: Permanent, Full-Time (Guaranteed Hours)

Earnings: £14.50/hr basic | £21.75/hr Overtime

Night Out Allowance: £25 per night

OTE: £57,980

Role Overview

At Panda, we deliver waste and recycling transport services supporting local communities. We seek an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Quarrington team. Operating from our regional depot, this role focuses on safety and service excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles to transport regional waste and recycling.
• Compliance: Complete daily walk‑around checks, report defects, and maintain digital tachograph records under EU regulations.
• Safety First: Strictly adhere to transport laws, road regulations, and site safety protocols.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional company ambassador at all collection and delivery points.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence, up‑to‑date Driver CPC, and a Digi Tacho card.
• Proven Class 1 driving experience (waste, walking floor, or bulk transport experience highly advantageous).
• Solid understanding of UK driver compliance, WTD regulations, and defect reporting.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, with excellent communication skills.
