Highways Operative – Bideford

Our client requires Highways Operatives in the Bideford area to carry out tasks such as excavation works, laying and levelling of kerbs, slabs and bitumen macadam, drainage and gully installations.

Successful candidates for the role of Highways Operative should have:

• Experience / knowledge required in using electronic devices
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good knowledge of the respective area they have been employed to work.
• Ability to carry out work to a high standard.
• Good communication skills
• Reasonable knowledge of machine maintenance

Applicants must have:

• CSCS card
• Class 2 HGV licence
• Good timekeeping skills
• Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hours
• Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 07.15 a.m. – 16.00 p.m.

Rate of Pay

£13.00-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.
