Hourly commitment: 80 hours per year
No one should die because they needed first‑aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first‑aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. Support St John Ambulance by deploying equipment to events and activities within your community and help maintain equipment so that networks are properly resourced.
Through volunteering as an Operational Support Team Member you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride by providing essential resources to our medical and education teams. It requires only a small commitment of your time, but it is great for you, your community and our nation.
We will provide a proper induction, the necessary training for your role, and a supportive environment for your volunteering. The volunteer charter details what you can expect from SJA and what we expect from volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Deploy equipment at events and activities within your community.
- Support maintenance of equipment to ensure networks are properly resourced.
- Assist with the preparation and set‑up of resources for volunteers and staff.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Passion for helping others and a genuine care for your community.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
- Reliable, responsible and able to commit 80 hours per year.
