Dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant – Gateshead
Protocol Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex additional needs at a specialist SEN school in Gateshead.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality, personalised support.
- Following EHCP targets and adapting activities where required.
- Encouraging independence and confidence.
- Supporting emotional regulation and communication.
- Liaising with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
To succeed in this role you’ll have:
- Experience working within SEND settings (preferred).
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Excellent organisational and observation skills.
- A positive, child-centred approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
