Role Overview
Based in the Gloucester branch as an Apprentice Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive, ensuring equipment is always available for our customers to create a positive experience and maintain Speedy’s reputation as the best hire company in the industry.
You will take part in our structured training programme, receiving on‑site instruction from experienced colleagues and attending online classes each week.
Programme Overview
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance – Engineered Services (Vocational Skills)
- Level 3 Sub‑Diploma in Engineering Technologies (Development Knowledge)
- Functional Skills in English and Maths (unless exempt)

Requirements
- GCSEs: Minimum of 3 or 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or higher, including Mathematics, English, and a Science
- Alternatives: Level 2 Engineering qualification (e.g., Diploma in Engineering or Maintenance)
- Maths/English: If not achieved at school, applicants may be required to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the apprenticeship
