Summary

The Governors of Baines Endowed VC Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a difference to children’s lives. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, primarily providing PPA cover and curriculum release time for teachers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work across the primary age range and should be confident in supporting learning throughout the school, from EYFS to Year 6.

Essential Qualifications

  • HLTA status or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification – appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
  • GCSE (Grade C/4) Level 3 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working with EFYS/KS1/KS2 children.
  • Experience of leading learning with whole classes.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
