FLT Driver

We are seeking a skilled FLT Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks to handle materials efficiently and safely within a busy warehouse environment. This role requires a reliable individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, committed to maintaining smooth logistics and inventory management.

Duties

• Operate forklift trucks to load and unload goods, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of materials
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying goods against documentation
• Handle materials using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety standards
• Maintain organisation of stock within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on forklift equipment as needed
• Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements
• Conduct routine safety checks on equipment before use
• Support with general warehouse tasks such as organising storage areas and preparing goods for dispatch

Skills

• Valid forklift licence with proven experience in operating forklift trucks in a warehouse setting
• Good mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety regulations
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for stock counts and measurements
• Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
