SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School, long term temporary and ongoing, starting September 2026

SEND Teaching Assistant duties:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Assisting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum
- Supporting social, emotional, and academic development
- Implementing learning strategies and interventions
- Promoting independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs is desirable
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Your salary – dependent on experience – is paid weekly through PAYE.
