Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support | Gateshead
Protocol Education is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a specialist school in Gateshead. You’ll play a vital role in helping a pupil with complex needs feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
Responsibilities
- Delivering personalised support throughout the school day.
- Implementing EHCP strategies and learning plans.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and communication.
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Previous SEND experience.
- A calm and flexible approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
