Level 1 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Job Summary

The postholder will provide in‑class support for students with a range of needs, including cognitive, social, emotional, mental health and physical needs. The role is a temporary maternity cover, working 3 days a week for one year.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse needs in classroom settings.
• Collaborate with parents, teaching staff, specialists and the study support team to ensure students’ needs are met.

Temporary maternity cover, 3 days a week for one year.

Requirements and Checks

The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check and other relevant employment checks. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a self‑disclosure is required for all shortlisted applicants.
