- Successfulteaching experience in a primary school, with evidence of consistentlyeffective classroom practice.
- Evidenceof leading effective behaviour management approaches that support positivelearning behaviours and strong pupil engagement.
- Evidence of successful line management, staff development and continuing professional development that improve practice and performance, whilebeing mindful of staff wellbeing.
- Understandingof national policy, curriculum and assessment developments, the statutory andlegal framework within which schools operate, and the Ofsted inspectionframework.
- Abilityto analyse data effectively, monitor attainment and progress, set ambitioustargets and identify priorities for improvement.
- Understandingof evidence-informed, high-quality teaching and the ability to model, coachand support others to improve classroom practice.
- Understandingof school finance, resource management and the effective deployment ofstaffing and budgets to support school priorities.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effectiveworking relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and externalpartners.
- Abilityto formulate, communicate and deliver an ambitious vision that motivatesstaff, inspires pupils and secures community confidence.
- Commitmentto safeguarding, equality of opportunity and inclusive practice, ensuringthat personal beliefs are not expressed in ways that exploit the position orundermine pupils’ wellbeing.
- Experienceof safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including actingpromptly and appropriately on concerns.
