Requirements
- We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years experience working within IT and a genuine interest in technology.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Good knowledge of routers and networking.
- Some knowledge or experience of one or more of the following: VMware, SAN/NAS, firewalls, and Linux.
- A working knowledge of ITIL is an advantage.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to troubleshoot system and network problems and identify suitable solutions.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible attitude to working hours.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to our customers across our Chisholm and BTC client estates.
- Deliver first-line support via the Service Desk, receiving incidents and service requests by telephone and through the ticketing system.
- Provide excellent customer care and service.
- Install and configure computer software, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot system and networking problems, diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults within agreed time limits and processes.
- Support the rollout of new applications.
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and resolve password issues.
- Configure and test new hardware and software for production use.
- Carry out routine maintenance and housekeeping on our IT systems and infrastructure.
