Role Overview

Newlyn School seeks a warm and positive teaching assistant with a calm and nurturing mindset who will support high‑quality teaching and learning across Early Years and KS1. The candidate will collaborate with staff, families, and external agencies to provide inclusive learning opportunities that engage all children, especially those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teaching and learning for Early Years and KS1.
  • Provide inclusive learning experiences for all children, including those requiring additional support.
  • Collaborate with staff to adapt provision to meet the personalised needs of each child.
  • Promote and facilitate outdoor learning experiences such as Forest School, Beach School, and enrichment activities.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Experience supporting teaching and learning opportunities in Early Years and KS1.
  • Understanding of engagement strategies for children requiring intervention and support.
  • Ability to adapt provision dynamically to meet personalised needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills with staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Passion for championing all children and fostering an aspirational, inclusive mindset.
