Overview

We are an award winning Financial Services company based in Fleet seeking an Internal Sales Manager to join our senior management team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You’ll work from our Head Office in Fleet, Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm, with 2 days of WFH available after the handover and training period. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Internal Sales Manager will:

  • Provide leadership and line management for the Internal Sales Team with varying levels of experience, including coaching and development.
  • Represent Sales at internal/external meetings, projects and strategic forums.
  • Support ad‑hoc project work and other organisational initiatives as required.
  • Oversee workflow management, staff competency and training requirements.
  • Ensure telephone‑based teams maximise business opportunities across regions.
  • Assist field and internal sales teams with complex broker queries and escalations.
  • Plan and deliver onboarding training for new team members, including Field Sales.
  • Handle new business enquiry calls when required, ensuring an excellent broker experience.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of intermediary business needs and the company’s product fit.
  • Produce MI for the CCO and NAMS as required.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company products, processes and competitor activity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policy.
  • Collaborate with Operations to identify and deliver improved efficiency and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will have proven leadership experience within sales or financial services, including the production of management reports for senior teams. You will demonstrate experience in people management, including coaching and mentoring skills. Ideally you will possess strong knowledge of the UK mortgage market or FCA experience from another financial market, with BTL/specialist lending experience being advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a flexible, proactive and committed approach to high performance. You should be highly organised, solution focused and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
