About this role
Job Purpose
The Stores and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading the stores function and managing inter-site logistics and transport operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and timely flow of materials. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding service to operations, supporting production and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Stores and Inventory Management
- Lead and supervise a team of Stores Operatives, ensuring high performance, engagement, and adherence to standards
- Manage goods receipt, storage, issuing, and dispatch activities
- Ensure accurate inventory control, stock integrity, and cycle counting processes
- Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations
- Ensure all materials are correctly identified, stored, and handled in line with company procedures
Logistics and Transport Coordination
- Plan and manage inter-site logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of materials
- Coordinate internal and external transport providers
- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve any logistics issues proactively
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and company policies
Operational Support and cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, Planning, and Quality teams to align material availability with operational requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, efficiency, and cost control
- Act as a key point of contact for logistics and stores-related queries
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development of Stores Operatives
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure safe working practices are always adhered to
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements within stores and logistics operations
- Drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost-saving initiatives
- Utilize KPI data to monitor performance and implement corrective actions
