Quantity Surveyor – Fit-Out & Refurbishment
A well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the fit-out and refurbishment sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.
The company specialises in delivering fully integrated interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK and Ireland. Based in Mallusk, this is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate financial reporting to support successful commercial outcomes.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, ensuring contractual compliance and securing all commercial entitlements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service and project delivery.
- Provide commercial support and guidance to site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, review, and analyse tender packages and enquiries.
- Procure subcontractors, issue subcontract orders, and manage accounts, ensuring payments are accurate and made within agreed timescales.
- Monitor subcontractor performance against project programmes.
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and invoices in line with contractual requirements, supporting cash flow and work-in-progress (WIP) targets.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and commercial procedures.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Oversee the financial close-out of projects, ensuring all costs and valuations are accurately recorded within the company’s financial systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit-out, construction, or consultancy sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost management, subcontract administration, and contract compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Experience working on Measured Term Contracts (MTCs) and applicants with this background will also be considered.
