Location: Leeds
Job Description:

Project Planner / Senior Project Planner

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity

I’m currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to strengthen its Planning team in Leeds.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Project Planner looking to step into a Senior role, or someone who has recently become a Senior Project Planner and wants to continue developing within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You’ll work closely with an experienced leadership team, gaining direct exposure to key decision-makers while delivering planning support across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure and engineering projects.

This isn’t a role where you’ll get lost in a large team. You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, develop your technical and stakeholder management skills, and play an important part in the continued growth of the Leeds office.

The Role

As a Project Planner / Senior Project Planner, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring project programmes across a variety of complex engineering and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining project programmes using Primavera P6.
  • Producing programme updates, reporting and progress analysis.
  • Carrying out critical path analysis and identifying programme risks.
  • Supporting Project Managers and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality planning solutions.
  • Providing planning expertise across a diverse range of infrastructure projects.
  • Contributing to the continued development and growth of the Planning team.

Skills & Experience

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Around 3-6 years’ experience within Project Planning or Project Controls.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential).
  • Experience developing and maintaining project programmes.
  • A solid understanding of planning principles, scheduling and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ambition to continue developing both technically and professionally.

Experience within infrastructure, construction, rail, highways, water, energy, aviation, nuclear or other engineering sectors would all be considered. The sector is less important than having strong planning fundamentals and confidence using Primavera P6.

Why Apply?

  • Work directly alongside experienced senior leaders with genuine access to decision-makers.
  • Diverse portfolio of high-profile infrastructure and engineering projects.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression as the Leeds team continues to grow.
  • Supportive environment with excellent mentoring and professional development.
  • Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Leeds office.
  • No client-site travel – you’ll be based entirely from the Leeds office.
  • Collaborative team culture where your ideas and contributions are genuinely valued.
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your planning career, work on exciting projects and join a consultancy where your development is a genuine priority, I’d love to hear from you.
