Join CMPM to launch The ICE House — a high-end riverside venue serving coffee by day and bar service by night, with an artisan Neapolitan-style pizza offer and a streamlined takeaway service.
We’re hiring a Bar, Kitchen & Venue Project Manager to own the opening plan end-to-end and turn the concept into a fully functioning operation. This is a hands-on, detail-led role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, spots problems early, and gets things done properly without being chased.
What you’ll do:
Own the opening plan: timeline, critical path, dependencies, and weekly progress reporting to the Director
Coordinate contractors, suppliers, deliveries, installations and handovers
Source and negotiate quotes for equipment and services (kitchen, bar, FOH, outdoor)
Set up suppliers, accounts and ordering routines (par levels, delivery cadence, credits/returns)
Support recruitment, onboarding and training for the launch team (bar, kitchen, casual staff)
Build simple SOPs and checklists (open/close, service steps, cleaning, stock counts)
Help finalise the operating model and support service during soft opens and launch period
Keep compliance and licensing documentation organised and up to date
What we need:
Proven experience delivering openings/launches or major change projects in hospitality (bar/café/restaurant)
Strong organisation and attention to detail across multiple workstreams
Confident coordinating suppliers/contractors and solving problems on the ground
Comfortable recruiting, onboarding and training teams quickly
Willing to be on-site, including evenings/weekends as required
Bonus if you’ve worked with pizza concepts, stock control routines, or licensing conditions

Role details:
40 hours/week (including evenings and weekends)
£34,000 pro rata 3-month fixed term (potential to extend)
Based on-site in Barking, London (and occasionally on event sites)
