Audit Director – AI Assurance

Responsibilities

• Support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives.
• Manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
• Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function.
• Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
• Foster and guide compliance, ensuring regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
• Shape and deliver a forward-looking audit strategy covering the end-to-end AI lifecycle.

Requirements

• Requires hands-on experience in AI implementation, combined with deep expertise in AI governance, ethics, and risk management.
• Expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function.
• Knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
• Negotiating with and influencing stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
• Extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group.
