Associate Director ICA Engineering

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work
• Manage time and budgets of Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones
• Direct and review technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams and Load Schedules
• Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables
• Collaborate with client and project management team
• Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team
• Work independently with minimal technical guidance
• Provide technical support for bid proposals
• Set quality assurance standards in design

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer
• Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team
• Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems
• Requires comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in ICA designs
• Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards as well as industry best practices
• Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
• Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
• Experience in water market is preferred but not required
• Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
• Demonstrates strong communication skills
