Overview
Procurement Lead (Projects & Outsourcing) – permanent role based in Bristol. The position supports the UK outsourcing and offshoring agenda, embedding strong supplier management practices across the business, and acting as a change lead during a period of transformation and integration. Salary £40,000 – £50,000 plus bonus and benefits. The role is based in the Bristol office with on-site presence 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Procurement lead for outsourcing and offshoring across the UK business.
- Undertake detailed analysis and make recommendations on outsourcing strategy and policy.
- Support the active management of core outsource suppliers to ensure performance, value and compliance.
- Lead the development and embedment of strong supplier management practices across the supply chain.
- Upskill business owners in supplier management best practice and performance monitoring.
- Support the implementation of robust risk and compliance monitoring across Procurement.
- Coordinate and deliver remedial actions where risks or control gaps are identified.
- Act as a subject-matter expert within procurement integration and Group-wide projects.
- Support the Procurement leadership team with strategy, systems, processes and capability development.
- Contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives across suppliers and sourcing activity.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across supplier and outsource management.
Skills & Experience
- Strong procurement or supply chain management experience.
- Experience managing Tier 1 / primary suppliers or outsourced services.
- Strong written and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and professional documentation.
- Self-starter with strong organisation, planning and delivery skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management capability.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, using data to inform decisions.
- Commercially and financially astute, with experience managing significant spend.
- Knowledge of automotive, leasing or operational supply chains is highly advantageous.
