Overview

Our Back-End Engineering team focuses on delivering a great banking experience. We seek curious, collaborative, and technology-passionate individuals who are solution-oriented and commercially savvy in fintech. Teams work on specific products and projects, with opportunities to move between them in areas such as fraud prevention, investments, identity services, money transfers, debit and credit card payments, core banking, insurance products, reward campaigns, and call-centre innovations. We deliver end-to-end cloud-native microservice solutions using modern technologies and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, estimate costs for, and implement technical solutions written in Java/Kotlin.
  • Write unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests.
  • Support products through their entire life cycle, including production and incident management.
  • Collaborate in an agile, dynamic, customer-facing environment to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

  • Recent hands-on professional experience as a back-end software engineer in an agile environment.
  • Experience with a JVM language (Java/Scala/Kotlin), preferably Java 8+.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle (requirements, design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, release, and support).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, diverse, inclusive, and geographically distributed team.
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Understanding of messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
  • Experience automating deployments, releases, and testing in CI/CD pipelines.
