Job Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Podiatrist to join the Podiatry and Non-Cancer Lymphoedema Services delivered across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland by the Community Health Services directorate of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT). The successful candidate will serve as the permanent Band 8a Clinical Lead, providing senior clinical and professional leadership for patients and team members in both the Podiatry and Non‑Cancer Lymphoedema Service.

Key Responsibilities
- Reports to the Ops and Transformation Lead for the services
- Alongside the Operational Lead is responsible for complex staff and resource planning to ensure effective clinical and operational day‑to‑day management of the services
- Responsible for clinical management of the team members working within the services
- Promotes and supports continuous personal and professional development of the team members working within the services, ensuring the workforce possesses the required clinical and leadership skills
- Maintains awareness of local and national guidance, policy, and agenda and implements education and training to effect necessary change
- Establishes and maintains the expected standards of clinical practice for the services, as per relevant local and national clinical guidelines and pathways
- Ensures robust systems are in place to ensure quality and safety of the services, including compliance with CQC requirements
- Ensures continuous performance improvement and implements and maintains effective performance reporting processes
- Plans and implements service, directorate, Trust, and system level changes to meet all key performance indicators as determined within the directorate
- Works collaboratively with estates and facilities to ensure the working environment meets service requirements
- Develops systems and processes to increase patient and public engagement and involvement in developing the services
- Works with the Ops and Transformation Lead for finance management, workforce planning, service improvement, and strategic direction for the services
Eligibility and Requirements
All applicants must have permission to work in the UK. DBS disclosure is required; the cost will be met by the individual and deducted from salary once started. Applicants at risk within the local NHS who meet essential criteria will have preference for interview.
