Overview
Experienced, Motivated, Dynamic Registered Health Professional to join the Fracture Clinic Team at University Hospitals. Supporting the running of the Fracture Clinic Services as part of the wider Clinical Support Services Outpatients team. The Fracture Clinic will incorporate the Trauma and Elective clinics, Virtual Fracture Clinic and Plaster Room Services (Adult, Paediatric and Outreach Teams). You will be expected to currently hold or be willing to complete the British Orthopaedic Association, British Casting Certificate. You will support the current management team in the running and development of the Fracture Clinic services.
Responsibilities
- Use UHCWi methodology to identify areas for improvement to enhance the patient journey and improve/maintain staff wellbeing and morale.
- Help maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by monitoring health and safety and risk assessments, ensuring effective roster management and day-to-day skill mix, and conducting local and Trust-wide audits with trend monitoring.
- Work with wider teams within the Trust to support sickness absence, effective use of resources and finance, and provide a sound learning environment for students and learners.
- Be accountable for own actions in accordance with governing bodies (e.g., British Orthopaedic Association, Nursing and Midwifery Council – Code of Professional Conduct).
- Contribute to corporate objectives, operating within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients, carers and the multi-professional team.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to the management team, participating in service and policy development.
- Deputise for the clinic manager in their absence and manage the team during their absence.
