Chief AI Governance & Assurance Lead

Defra is seeking a Head of Responsible AI and Assurance to provide senior leadership for responsible, trustworthy and auditable AI across the department. You will ensure AI-enabled solutions are adopted safely, lawfully, ethically and sustainably, working with DDTS and cross-government partners.

You will lead the development of AI assurance frameworks, risk-based controls, and governance forums, coordinating across Data Protection, Legal and Delivery leads to maintain public trust.
