Mid-level Engineer

Responsibilities

• Undertaking the successful delivery of Traffic Signal and ITS schemes
• Liaison with clients to provide technical advice and solutions
• Assist and guide less experienced staff on technical delivery
• Delivering high quality technical reports and presentations
• Developing commercial knowledge, including preparation of cost estimates and scopes
• Undertaking project management tasks, including monitoring budgets and resolving issues
• Working both as part of a team and individually to ensure delivery to budget, time and quality

Requirements

• Developing technical knowledge and enthusiasm for delivering projects in the traffic signals sector
• Knowledge of design processes and best practice, traffic signals / highways design and traffic signal operation
• Excellent problem-solving skills with innovative solutions
• Proven ability to learn new skills and understand complex technical projects
• Good communication skills including presentations and client meetings
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety issues and CDM
• Either already a member of or keen to become a member of a relevant Professional Institute
