Objectives and Responsibilities

We are looking for a candidate to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) as part of the Intelligence Hub. The role focuses on delivering a portfolio of intelligence services for a key contract with the UK Government. Responsibilities include providing open‑source intelligence (OSINT) capability, identifying potential threats to clients’ employees and operations, delivering actionable threat intelligence, supporting major incident communications and providing bespoke digital investigation services.

Key Accountabilities and Role Overview

  • Collaborate with senior clients, account managers, the Intelligence Hub and other stakeholders to create and deliver intelligence products that address customer security concerns.
  • Produce high‑quality, concise intelligence reports and briefings on threats to physical security such as terrorism, crime and activism, including thematic reports and products focused on people, assets and events.
  • Deliver intelligence briefings to senior Mitie and customer representatives, both strategically and during live incidents.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior employees, providing guidance and support.
  • Attend customer meetings to brief the strategic intelligence picture and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree‑educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience working in a threat intelligence environment – military, government, law enforcement or security sector.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with customers and partners.
  • Ability to assess risk and threat based on available information and understand customers’ intelligence requirements.
  • Proven experience in processing and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail and fluency in English.
  • Reliable, flexible, discreet, with a high level of personal integrity.
  • Knowledge of global events and their security impacts; strong understanding of the UK political and security landscape.
  • Experience interrogating and exploiting social media platforms as a source of threat intelligence.
  • Eligible and willing to undergo additional vetting (up to SC).

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a threat intelligence environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of global events and security impacts.
  • “Can‑do” attitude with a focus on problem‑solving and delivering exceptional service.
  • Innovative approach, seeking new solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.

  • Customer Account Manager and on‑site Mitie colleagues
  • Senior client and other key customer security officials
  • Senior external partners, including police
  • Mitie Intelligence Hub and other bespoke Mitie Intelligence functions
