Overview

Customer Team Leader. Location: Clarence Place, High Kingsdown, Bristol, BS2 8DG. Pay: £14.48 per hour. Contract: 16-24 hours per week with regular overtime; permanent contract, part time. Working pattern: mix of opening, closing, and mid‑day shifts with flexibility across the week, including at least 2 evening shifts and 1 weekend shift. Availability discussion at interview. 30% in-store colleague discount.

Join us as a Customer Team Leader and take the next step toward managing your own store. Depending on your store, you may work in our post office or bakery or support online services and our home delivery drivers. You will be a familiar face in the community, helping to stay connected with local and national charities and champion Co-op membership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift
  • Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations
  • Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members
  • Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes
  • Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth

Qualifications

  • Passion for people and leadership
  • The ability to work flexibly and lead by example
  • Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential)
