Engineering Systems Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of shore based and sea operations including the operation, maintenance and testing of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
• Operate, test and repair electronic systems used for the tracking and measurement of radiated noise from underwater vehicles.
• Take part in preventive and corrective maintenance schedules on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in local multi-skill arrangements including sea-going work and trials activities.

Requirements

• You will need to have attained or be predicted to attain 4 National 5s: English Language, Maths, and either Physics or Chemistry, plus one other subject.
