Overview

Manage a team of configuration analysts ensuring that their work conforms to the design integrity for the designated application. Provide line management support and handle HR issues arising from staff within the application team, escalating as necessary according to Trust policy. Jointly responsible with the EPR Programme team for projects to be on time and within budget. Project manage the designated application to meet all deadlines. Develop highly specialist configuration knowledge of the designated application area to solve problems in build, reporting, and testing. Be an expert in the application area to assist the team with troubleshooting and address questions from end users. Utilize expert hospital knowledge to develop pathways and new processes to support configuration and implementation that impact working practices across the Trust. Analyze and document simple to highly complex clinical and administrative workflows, information, data collection and reporting requirements.

We are looking for a passionate individual to lead a team of analysts to deliver BAU and ongoing optimisation across Epic’s patient access applications (including Springboard, Cadence, Grand Central and HIM coding). You will demonstrate expert knowledge in Epic configuration and experience supporting ongoing optimisation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You should ideally have experience of managing a team.

Working closely with your counterpart at RMH, you will provide oversight and technical knowledge of the applications, as well as supporting team development and providing a point of escalation for arising issues. Our team works flexibly with remote and onsite days. You must be able to travel to all GOSH and RMH sites as required (Bloomsbury regularly, Chelsea and Sutton on request).

Responsibilities

  • Co-own project delivery with the EPR Programme team to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Project manage the designated application to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of the application area to solve problems in build, reporting and testing.
  • Act as an expert in the application area to assist the team with troubleshooting and respond to end-user questions.
  • Use hospital expertise to develop pathways and new processes supporting configuration and implementation that affect working practices across the Trust.
  • Analyse and document simple to highly complex clinical and administrative workflows, information, data collection and reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Epic configuration, preferably in a relevant application, and experience supporting ongoing optimisation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supervising or managing a team is desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to GOSH and RMH sites as required.
  • Flexibility to work across remote and onsite settings as part of a hybrid team.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
