Projects Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Projects Engineer to support onsite delivery of projects. The role involves liaising with contractors, submitting permits in the correct format, coordinating isolations, providing escort duties when required, and acting as the liaison between the project team and Operations onsite. The successful candidate will ensure work is completed safely and in line with best practice and JLL standards, and will complete client screening and vetting as part of the process.

Responsibilities

• In liaison with the Principal Contractor and Project Manager, ensure the project is delivered safely and within time scales.
• Attend and participate in Project Meetings.
• Adhere to JLL safe System of Works.
• Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and handover works for plant and user equipment.
• Raise and issue Change Control Notifications when required.
• Initiate and receive Permits to Work in accordance with procedure.
• Where necessary, write and issue Safety Programmes and perform required isolations.
• Wear personal protective equipment when required by risk assessment, method statement, or mandatory signage.
• Provide regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly as required) to line manager.
• Maintain strong communication to operate systems and prepare reports.
• Assist the JLL Engineering Team and site team; be part of the team and assist Shift Team.
• Be available to work additional shifts/hours as required and be a team player with good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Familiar with computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, carry tools, lift heavy loads, and operate required equipment and vehicles; work in confined spaces as required.
• Be able to work at other locations as requested by line management.

Qualifications

• Two disciplines of the following: Electrical C&G 2361 Part 1 & 2 or Electro-Technical C&G 2330 and C&G 2382-10 (20) or Mechanical/Mechanical Engineering; C&G 2800 Level 3.
• Issuing Permit to Work (Discipline Dependent).
• Low Voltage Authorised Persons Course.
