Overview
IT Infrastructure Engineer – up to £36,000 per annum, plus a £4,000 per annum car allowance. Based in Uxbridge with travel to other UK sites required. This role reports to the Infrastructure Manager and is suitable for a highly energetic, technically minded individual.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day support of all production platforms to ensure availability, integrity, and confidentiality of core infrastructure elements, including servers, storage, communications and recovery management.
- Operate secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks; install, maintain, upgrade, and continually improve the Apcoa Parking operating environment.
- Manage networks and firewalls, and troubleshoot advanced network issues.
- Handle new site installations, upgrades, and maintenance of remote site infrastructure.
- Provide high‑level 3rd‑line infrastructure support and proactively plan upgrades and system maintenance within the IT roadmap.
- Take ownership of user problems and follow up on problem status, communicating progress in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Methodical approach to problem analysis and solving, high attention to detail, keen record‑keeping and documentation, and a hunger to improve systems and processes.
Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure with solid experience in Microsoft technologies, networking, IT hardware, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work well with cross‑functional resources to deliver short‑to‑medium term objectives and set the pace for action, delivering results to management and senior management.
