What You’ll Do
Senior Software Development Engineer to drive innovation in our Radiation Therapy Treatment systems. You’ll develop cutting-edge workflow, delivery, and imaging software for medical devices in a safety-critical environment with software quality embedded in our CI/CD pipelines. You’ll collaborate in agile teams to deliver solutions that improve patient outcomes globally.
Responsibilities:
- Define, design, develop and maintain application components, services and APIs on the Elekta domain-based service-oriented platform, hosted on containers.
- Full stack development from web and desktop-based UI to messaging and storage solutions.
- Maintain and enhance software quality metrics including test coverage and code maintainability; ensure code and system are well tested for full solution testing.
- Create, review and maintain tests at all levels of the V Model (unit, component, automated and manual system tests).
- Ensure products are developed in accordance with published development processes with appropriate documentation.
- Contribute to CI/CD and test automation environments to enable fast delivery and deployment.
- Work as part of a scrum team, supporting others when priorities require it and resolving impediments.
- Maintain awareness of the safety lifecycle, participate in safety analysis and hazard mitigation activities.
- Define and review requirements, apply architectural guidance and contribute to architectural direction.
- Lead the technical direction of product development across teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Full stack development using .NET (C#, .NET Core).
- Front end: Angular.
- Object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of software engineering disciplines, practices, and techniques.
- Understanding of the overall SDLC for application development.
- Experience with CI/CD and Agile/Safe methodologies (SAFe).
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated/safety-critical areas.
- Back end: Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, RabbitMQ.
- Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, Azure DevOps.
- Domain-Driven Design practices and asynchronous/event-driven systems.
