AutoRek Software Engineer

12 Month contract initially + ExtensionsBased: LondonRate: £400 – £500 p/d (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities

• Third party application development and support
• Experience working in a software application development/support role in a fast paced client‑facing environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to convey technical solutions in a visual manner
• Strong analysis skills to quickly identify and resolve client incidents
• Customer focused support of incidents and ensuring timely resolution
• Quality‑driven approach to deliver highest standard reconciliations at pace

Team Working

• Collaborate closely with clients and analysts to establish requirements and translate them into viable designs
• Participate in client meetings and workshops
• Design solutions or subsets of solutions at a complex level & scale, using Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Document and build solutions from high‑level specifications or requirements

MS SQL Server

• Experience with MS development tools: SSMS, Visual Studio, Report Builder
• Complex SQL scripting on tables, views, stored procedures and functions
• Strong SQL analysis and issue resolution skills
• Experience with large/complex databases
• SSRS report development
• Ability to build scalable and performant SQL procedures

Software Processes

• Firm grasp of core software processes including governance, configuration control and release management
• Experience with GitHub and JIRA

Self‑Organization

• Good self‑organization with focus on agreed priorities and creation of plans or work lists to achieve goals
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks
• Ability to work independently
