AutoRek Software Engineer
12 Month contract initially + ExtensionsBased: LondonRate: £400 – £500 p/d (via Umbrella company)
Key Responsibilities
- Third party application development and support
- Experience working in a software application development/support role in a fast paced client‑facing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to convey technical solutions in a visual manner
- Strong analysis skills to quickly identify and resolve client incidents
- Customer focused support of incidents and ensuring timely resolution
- Quality‑driven approach to deliver highest standard reconciliations at pace
Team Working
- Collaborate closely with clients and analysts to establish requirements and translate them into viable designs
- Participate in client meetings and workshops
- Design solutions or subsets of solutions at a complex level & scale, using Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Document and build solutions from high‑level specifications or requirements
MS SQL Server
- Experience with MS development tools: SSMS, Visual Studio, Report Builder
- Complex SQL scripting on tables, views, stored procedures and functions
- Strong SQL analysis and issue resolution skills
- Experience with large/complex databases
- SSRS report development
- Ability to build scalable and performant SQL procedures
Software Processes
- Firm grasp of core software processes including governance, configuration control and release management
- Experience with GitHub and JIRA
Self‑Organization
- Good self‑organization with focus on agreed priorities and creation of plans or work lists to achieve goals
- Ability to manage multiple competing tasks
- Ability to work independently
