Responsibilities
- Deliver project objectives with respect to Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Environment, Delivery and People
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with the DBFO contract, clarifying roles and responsibilities
- Produce timely and accurate reports and maintain specified records
- Identify, evaluate, and escalate emerging risks and issues
- Lead and oversee projects throughout their whole lifecycle
- Inform investment proposals for clients at each stage
- Oversee and challenge Project Managers’ input on income and cost profiles
- Manage correspondence and queries through Aconex
- Facilitate project reviews and manage project change control processes
- Allocate projects to PMs based on knowledge and capability
Qualifications
- Experience in the delivery of mechanical and electrical and/or technology highways construction & maintenance operations
- Project Management skills, preferably supported by recognised PM qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etc.
- Preference of minimum HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a mechanical and electrical, civil engineering or other construction-based discipline
- Broad knowledge and understanding of other design areas
- Understanding of Environmental requirements of schemes
- Experience of coordinating interfaces with design teams and external resources
- Understanding of H&S Requirements related to highway construction & maintenance works
- Knowledge of CDM and other H&S legislation
- Competent in exercising the duties under CDM
- Applicable CSCS Card
- Team leadership and management experience in driving performance and productivity
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer focus with a service delivery mindset
- Commercial understanding and budgetary control experience
- Understanding of Lean principles
