ROLE PROFILE
DevOps Engineer – TRADEcho MiFID II reporting services, hosted on AWS and operated by the London Stock Exchange Group.
The team covers onsite support in Sri Lanka from 2 AM to 6 PM UK time, Monday to Friday, with a late shift on call. Occasional weekend work is required for testing and rolling forward software releases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as operational SME for the product, gaining deep insight into infrastructure and operations tooling.
- Ensure compliance with departmental processes, reduce incidents and risks through proactive analysis, accurate impact assessment, and support for development changes.
- Identify and manage operational risks, mitigate short‑term while driving long‑term sustainable resolutions.
- Lead DevOps engineering within a cross‑functional development pod, ensuring the platform is resilient, scalable, secure, and fully automated.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, applying modern DevOps and GitOps practices to improve reliability and delivery speed.
- Build and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and configuration‑management tools, driving an automation‑first culture and running the platform.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to DevOps engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated expertise in AWS and Kubernetes.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible), and scripting in Bash/Python.
- Ability to compose solutions for complex systems and guide teams on deployment best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience with modern tooling (DataDog, GitLab, ServiceNow), networking diagnostics, and Agile practices.
- AWS certifications and financial services background.
