Overview

We are looking for a new Registered Manager to play an integral role in our growing team as we open new Children’s Homes in 2026. The role aims to enable more Oxfordshire children to remain in Oxfordshire when they become Children We Care For. You will create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive, with support from our leadership team to be creative and bold in bringing our homes to life. The role involves partnering with the children’s homes to work with vulnerable children and families, including those on the edge of care, within the Children We Care For system and those preparing for independence. This is an opportunity to deliver integrated and individualised interventions to promote the best outcomes for children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage residential childcare services for children in our homes, ensuring high standards of care in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement a restorative, relational approach and SLT-based practice, supporting children daily.
  • Work with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver integrated and individualised interventions aimed at positive outcomes.
  • Support and supervise staff, fostering a flexible, free-thinking environment that helps children achieve their ambitions.
  • Operate in alignment with the Family Safeguarding Plus model and relevant statutory provisions for children’s social care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Manager with relevant experience; within the last 5 years, at least 2 years in a role related to residential care of children.
  • At least 1 year in a role requiring supervision and management of staff in a residential childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of managing residential childcare in accordance with Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this and complete within the first 18 months of employment.
