Overview
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a current UK NMC PIN to join on site at Cygnet Hospital Bury. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) across days, nights and weekends in CAMHS wards at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood.
Cygnet Bury Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards with a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge. There is an on-site school, Forestwood School, registered with the Department for Education.
Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways to the Elton Reservoir.
Your Day-to-Day
- Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing
- Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals
- Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines
You are
- Open, compassionate, honest and resilient
- Experienced RMN with a current PIN number
- Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits
- Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 and up-to-date nursing practices
- Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
- Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage and reduce risk
- Empowering and supporting service user independence
