Role Purpose

Responsible for effectively working as part of a small team contributing to all Maintenance Control Centre activities to ensure continued airworthiness and serviceability of all One Air aircraft.

Responsible for coordinating operational maintenance, ensuring line maintenance is completed to a high standard and within timescales, maintaining oversight of fleet performance, maximising utilisation and avoiding operational disruption. Custodian of AMOS and other systems and processes.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role

  • Responsible for coordinating all operational maintenance activity
  • Ensuring that all line maintenance requirements are completed by the required timescales
  • Responsible for maintaining oversight of the aircraft fleet performance to ensure maximum dispatch reliability
  • Responsible for liaising directly with operations to ensure optimisation of the flying program avoiding operational disruption. Providing effective and expedient solutions to maintaining the flying program and return AOG aircraft to service
  • Responsible for the initiation of AOG recovery plans. Where an aircraft is AOG in a location where engineering recovery cannot be locally supported providing on‑site support to effectively return the aircraft back to service
  • Responsible for maintaining complete oversight of the fleet for technical status and airworthiness
  • Responsible for liaising with all line stations and other maintenance facilities ensuring that operations are kept updated on issues with the operational fleet
  • Ensuring they build effective working partnerships across both internal and external functional departments, key stake holders and influencers within One Air, OEM’s, Vendors, and operational support organisations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all documentation and its certification is completed in a timely manner and to the defined procedures to meet company procedures and legislation
  • Responsible ensuring continuous population of AMOS event tracker for all out of service events along with scheduled maintenance
  • Responsible for providing structured, prioritised, accurate technical support requests to OEM’s, regulators, and vendors, to achieve approved maintenance and repair data, approval, or deferral solutions as appropriate
  • Responsible for providing troubleshooting advice by reference to related publications, historical data or through liaison with equipment and platform expertise (e.g. OEM) as required
  • Responsible for tracking aircraft technical status and monitoring for aircraft repetitive defects, implementing corrective action. Following up completing ‘action items’ or informing the relevant departments if their action is necessary
  • Responsible for facilitating root cause analysis, highlighting opportunities for improvements and implementing sustainable preventive measures
  • Supporting and assisting with investigations into safety incidents, reports, and audit findings where relevant/appropriate
  • Responsible for undertaking any reasonable duties in accordance with the general role requirements and being flexible and pro‑active with changing priorities and focus
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across processes and systems and team working
  • Responsible for carrying out operational safety and security responsibilities as a priority

Key skills, Knowledge & Experience required

  • Qualified Part 66 B1 or B2 AML holder with B747 or B777 type rating preferred
  • Qualified Part CAMO knowledge and applied practical experience of its application
  • Proven previous experience of working within a demanding Commercial Aviation Part CAMO and Line or Base Maintenance environment
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Diligent and methodical experience of producing detailed reports, clear work instructions and concise technical advice
  • Proven technical problem‑solving experience
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to understand complex concepts and communicate them clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Self‑sufficient/motivated and able to make risk‑based decisions, knowing boundaries of role and when escalation is required
  • Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, pro‑active and being dynamic in previous roles

  • AMP/MSG3 completed training
  • AMOS experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of Aviation industry, specifically Airline operations
  • Driving licence

Any additional relevant information

This role will require the post holder to work a rotating shift pattern on day shift and night shift over weekends and Public Holidays and may be required to work overseas on occasion.
