Test Engineer

We’re working with a leading electronics company in West Drayton to find an experienced Test Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in analogue and digital electronics who’s ready to take ownership of test processes on complex hardware.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for testing electronic assemblies and systems, working closely with design and production teams to ensure products meet performance and quality standards.

• Carry out functional, environmental, and performance testing on electronic assemblies
• Interpret schematics and PCB layouts to support fault-finding and diagnostics
• Develop and maintain test procedures and documentation
• Work closely with design engineers to resolve test failures and support product improvements
• Support production with test equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Record and report test results, identifying trends and recurring issues

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience in a Test Engineer role
• Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts
• Confident using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE)
• Familiarity with RF testing
• Knowledge of IPC standards
• Experience in a regulated or high-reliability industry
